Cynergy4MIE 2024 Year Summary

Big things are happening at AI-LAB! In partnership with the brilliant minds at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, we’re pushing radar and AI research to new heights. Since the project's start, we've held over 10 online and face-to-face meetings. Working closely with KTH gives us access to top-tier expertise and tools, helping us move faster, stay sharp, and aim higher.

Strikersoft is excited to announce that our project is entering the development phase. In the coming weeks, we'll set up the infrastructure and begin operating our radar data.

Our radar technology is coming to life. The xWRL6432 and xWRL6432AOP are now delivering raw ADC data, Range-FFT, and Radar-Cube via SPI — all crucial for visualizations. We're even detecting breathing and heartbeats! This is thanks to a smart combination of our own code and TI's reference project. We're also building metrics to track performance at every stage.

We are refining AI algorithms for Direction of Arrival (DOA) — a technique that identifies where a signal is coming from based on how it hits the radar sensors. They’re enhancing this with improved versions of MUSIC and ESPRIT and using “frame difference” methods on heatmaps to reduce clutter. Like the hardware team, they’re building metrics to monitor progress at each step.
