Strikersoft one of the participants in the EU project Cynergy4MIE for Edge AI
39 organizations from 8 countries within the EU are involved in the Cynergy4MIE project for Edge AI,
an EU Research and Innovation project within the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU). The project will last for three years.
In the Cynergy4MIE project we are working on use cases for Search and Rescue in connection with disasters. We are using mmWave radar to find and track live victims and rescue workers, as well as to collect vital parameters from victims to provide triage information for clinical and rescue decisions.

Cynergy4MIE
Cynergy4MIE is an EU initiative within the Chips Joint Undertaking, which aims to exploit synergies across three domains – Mobility, Infrastructure and Energy. By synergizing across application domains, it will enable the use of reusable technology components to efficiently develop complex products. The EU’s lag compared to the US and the Far East in the development of complex next-generation products is due to the lack of such an ecosystem. Strikersoft introduces in this project use cases for mmWave radar-based detection of vital signs that, when integrated with other sensors, can extract trends for use in search and rescue missions. Cynergy4MIE is a continuation of the Edge AI project StorAIge.
EU projects together with KTH Royal Institute of Technology
This challenging application will not only require a lot of power and performance, it will also be dynamic. To meet these requirements, KTH's Lego-inspired SiLago framework will be enhanced to implement the Strikersoft application.
An FPGA prototype integrated with sensors will also be created as a physical demo. KTH will, as part of its training, fabricate a SiLago chip to validate the efficiency target: 10X to 100X better than COTS (i.e. Off the shelf chips)
Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU)
The EU program Chips (Chips JU) is an institutionalized partnership program within Horizon Europe, funded by the European Commission, which funds national authorities in participating countries and participating organizations.
